PART 3 — READING

Reading passage

Many people study English for years but still feel nervous when they have to speak. They may understand grammar rules and recognize many words, but they don't always have enough opportunities to use the language in real situations. Speaking regularly can make a significant difference. When students practice conversations, they learn how to respond naturally instead of translating every sentence from their native language. Pronunciation is also important. Good pronunciation does not mean speaking exactly like a native speaker. Instead, the goal is to speak clearly enough that other people can understand you easily. Making mistakes is a normal part of the learning process. Students who are willing to make mistakes and continue speaking often become more confident over time.
